Pets

 Hello dear readers

Well, at this point in my life I don't have a pet, but I would like to tell you about the two pets I have had in my life: Princesa and Copita. Although they both departed this plane to a better world, I think it never hurts to remember those beings that once were, and still are, part of our family.

Shortly after I turned 3 years old, my family and I adopted Princesa. I remember going to adopt her on a day when it had rained, seeing how precious she was from the moment we took her, and hours later, at night, sleeping in a makeshift dog bed made from a shoebox, fleece blanket and pillows. Princesa passed away in 2016, at 11 years of age.

2017 brought Copita into our family, we gave ourselves the opportunity to love another pet again in the same way we did with Princesa. Copita was medium sized, her coat was a beige color, which at one point was white, but was ruined because she loved to roll around in the yard, and she had wide open brown eyes, with which she looked at everything in the house in a very curious way. Copita passed away at her short two years, in 2019, from a cardiovascular accident.

With both of them I feel very grateful, I truly believe they saved me, instead of me saving them, and even though they are not here, I remain calm because I know they both had a very happy life full of love.

I don't feel ready to adopt another companion yet, but I know that as soon as I feel ready, I will give myself the opportunity to give another little friend a home and a family.
